Your future starts here

At Swisscom Mass Market Products, we build the broadband Internet, TV, mail, cloud and security products used in over two million Swiss homes. What you create is used by your neighbours, family and friends every day. You join an agile DevOps team focused on Swisscom TV and contribute your expertise across our other mass-market products. As a senior individual contributor, you take on a technical leadership role that reaches beyond your immediate team.

  • Design, develop and operate APIs and backend services from idea to production, owning their architecture, quality, reliability and maintainability
  • Help drive our transition from on-premises Windows and IIS environments to cloud-native services on Kubernetes and AWS, and shape how we build and operate them
  • Work primarily on Swisscom TV while contributing your expertise across our other mass-market products and engineering communities
  • Guide architectural decisions, improve engineering standards and processes across teams, and coach engineers in an open feedback culture
  • Drive the adoption of AI-assisted software development within the team and help identify effective AI workflows across the software development lifecycle

Your skills

  • Strong backend engineering experience with modern technologies and a curiosity for learning new technologies quickly; we currently work with technologies such as C#/.NET and Java/Kotlin
  • Deep understanding of API design, distributed systems and software architecture, with the ability to design pragmatic, scalable and maintainable solutions
  • Experience developing and operating backend services in cloud-native and on-premises environments, using technologies and platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes and AWS
  • Strong DevOps mindset and hands-on experience with CI/CD, test automation and observability
  • Experience providing technical leadership across team boundaries, coaching engineers and driving improvements to engineering practices
  • An ownership mindset: you shape your environment, break down complex problems independently and enjoy moving between domains and unfamiliar systems
  • Clear, respectful communication with engineers, product managers and stakeholders, with fluent English; German is a plus
