As a first-tier supplier to our renowned business partner F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. in Kaiseraugst, we are currently looking for a motivated and dedicated **Logistics Specialist (Global Clinical Distribution) **for a temporary assignment of 12 months.

The Clinical Distribution organisation-s objective is to cost-effectively ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time every time, such that no patient will go without treatment and no clinical trial will be delayed.The Logistics Specialist is a key member of the Network & Capability chapter, which is jointly accountable for all elements of clinical supply chain distribution for the global Roche/Genentech portfolio of 500 studies. The global Network & Capability chapter is responsible for the logistic framework and setup to enable optimized and reliable clinical distribution for all studies (more than 100k shipments yearly across 130 countries), through effective use of industry- leading clinical distribution strategies (e.g. direct 2 patients), processes and systems.

The Logistics Specialist role executes all shipments and ensures they are processed without interruptions and in line with country requirements. The Logistics Specialist partners closely with our internal and external logistics partners and the broader distribution community (incl. all Chapters), IT and the Roche network to enable the portfolio and pipeline delivery.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Operational order management and handling of clinical supply shipments (incl. IMP), incl. drop shipments were applicable
  • Responsible to manage all relevant documents/licenses considering country specific requirements
  • Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery to proactively address potential challenges and interruptions
  • Responsible for managing and keeping country specific requirements and keeping them up to date
  • Acts as the main contact for stakeholders and partners on all shipping and logistics related questions and activities
  • Closely collaborates with the various site logistics teams, incl. warehouse (KAU and SSF), transportation and customs management
  • Involvement in projects and initiatives after relevant time spent in the role

Must Haves

  • Degree / Vocational Training: Completed degree or apprenticeship.
  • Field of Study: Mandatory background in (Clinical) Supply Chain, Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or related fields.
  • Alternative Backgrounds: Degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, etc., are accepted only if subsequent work experience in Supply Chain / Logistics is clearly demonstrated.
  • Note: Profiles without relevant experience in the required domain will not be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Regulatory: GDP (Good Distribution Practice) experience is strictly required (GMP is a plus).
  • ERP Systems: SAP knowledge is nice-to-have, but experience with alternative domain-specific ERP/Logistics tools is accepted.
  • Office Applications: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace is mandatory.
  • German & English: Business-fluent (proficient with industry-specific vocabulary).

Nice to haves

  • Strong sense of urgency, proactive mindset, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • High affinity for IT systems/ERP, with hands-on experience in SAP considered a strong plus
