Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant - IFRS Tax Reporting 50% to join the Group Finance team, with a strong focus on IFRS income tax accounting. This role owns the preparation and integrity of the Group's tax notes, deferred tax positions, effective tax rate analysis, and tax provisions across our consolidated financial statements.
It is a hands-on, technically demanding position for someone who enjoys precision, reconciliation work, and close collaboration with local finance teams, group consolidation, and external auditors.
In details:
Prepare and review the Group's IFRS tax notes (IAS 12) for interim and annual consolidated financial statements
Calculate, recognise, and roll forward deferred tax assets and liabilities across Group entities, including recoverability assessments
Prepare detailed tax rate reconciliations bridging the statutory to the effective tax rate for management and audit purposes
Compute and analyse the Group and entity-level effective tax rate (ETR), identifying and explaining key drivers of movement
Perform regular cleaning and reconciliation of tax-related balance sheet accounts (current tax payable/receivable, deferred tax assets/liabilities), resolving aged or unsupported balances
Support the quarterly and annual tax reporting cycle in close coordination with Group Consolidation and Financial Reporting
Act as a key point of contact for external auditors on tax provisions, disclosures, and technical tax accounting positions
Monitor changes in IFRS and local tax legislation relevant to Group reporting, and assess their impact on tax accounting
Provide guidance and support to local finance teams and subsidiaries on tax accounting questions and account reconciliations
Contribute to the continuous improvement and automation of tax reporting processes, templates, and account reconciliation controls
Maintain clear, audit-ready documentation and supporting evidence for all tax positions and judgements
Profile
The Senior Tax Accountant - IFRS Tax Reporting 50% should bring the following background and experience :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field; a professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent) is a strong plus
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in tax accounting, ideally within a multinational group, or an audit/Big 4 background with subsequent in-house experience
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS income tax accounting, in particular IAS 12
Demonstrated hands-on experience with deferred tax calculations, effective tax rate analysis, and tax rate reconciliations
Experience preparing and reviewing tax provisions and reconciling tax-related balance sheet accounts
Highly detail-oriented and analytical, comfortable working with complex, multi-entity data sets
Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with auditors, local finance teams, and senior stakeholders
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
Able to work independently, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, international environment
