Job Description

Key responsabilities:

  • Provide legal support across the full lifecycle of international projects, from development and structuring through execution and operations.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial and project agreements (including EPC, EPCM, FIDIC, construction, procurement, supply, services and partnership agreements).
  • Advise business and project teams on contractual risk, project delivery, governance, change management and stakeholder relationships.
  • Support major bids and tenders from a legal and contractual perspective, including risk allocation, commercial strategy and negotiation planning.
  • Act as the primary legal adviser to the Group Chief Commercial & Contracts Officer on strategic project opportunities and critical contractual matters.
  • Support claims management, dispute avoidance and resolution strategies, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead or support negotiations with investors, development partners, contractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted legal partner to development, construction, procurement, finance and leadership teams on strategic initiatives and complex transactions.

The Successful Applicant

Successful candidate:

  • Qualified lawyer with 5-10 years' experience in projects, construction or infrastructure law.
  • Strong expertise in EPC/FIDIC contracts, contract management and project execution.
  • Experience gained within infrastructure, data centres, energy, construction or engineering sectors.
  • Proven exposure to complex international and multi-jurisdictional projects.
  • Commercial, pragmatic and comfortable working directly with business and operational stakeholders. Based on the profile provided, experience covering EPC/FIDIC contracting, international infrastructure projects, claims management and close collaboration with project teams is particularly relevant
