Senior Scientific Solution Engineer

Your Tasks
Own time-to-value for prospective customers: from first technical discovery through trials to successful onboarding, make sure scientists see real value as fast as possible
Lead technical discovery: get deep on each customer's science, instruments, and workflows so our solution maps to what they actually need
Design and run trials and proof-of-value engagements on customers' own data and problems
Run workshops and hands-on sessions that turn evaluators into confident, successful users
Build and expand a network to scout and originate new opportunities in sync with a scaling product and with that a growing target audience
Be the credible scientific-technical voice within the sales motion, translating fluently between researchers, engineers, and commercial stakeholders
Feed field insight back into product and science, sharpening both what we build and how we position it
Travel to customer sites and laboratories to do this work where the science happens
Use AI and coding to build the demos, scripts, and tooling that shorten every trial
Your Skills
5+ years in business development, sales/solutions engineering, or a comparable customer-facing technical role
Strong domain expertise in materials science and/or structural biology
Strong, fast coding ability: you build tooling, scripts, and demos quickly and cleanly
A deep drive to understand customers' science and problems better than they expect you to
Communication that works with everyone, from bench scientists to executives
Comfort using AI tools in your work
Excellent English, and willingness to travel internationally up to ~50%
Bonus - we'd love it if you also bring:
PhD in a scientific domain (structural biology, materials science, crystallography, electron microscopy) or experience selling scientific software
Experience having applied AI in a scientific or product context
Experience running trials, proofs-of-concept, or technical onboarding
