As a Automation Engineer MES / DeltaV, you will be responsible for the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Emerson DeltaV process control systems within biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient production operations, regulatory compliance, and adherence to the highest quality standards
This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

- Design, implement, and validate MES recipes and DeltaV control strategies that support robust and compliant biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
- Partner closely with Manufacturing, Process Development, Automation, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure seamless system integration and operational excellence.
- Troubleshoot and resolve MES and DeltaV system issues, minimizing production disruptions and supporting reliable plant operations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, work instructions, and validation records in accordance with GMP requirements.
- Support end users through training, technical guidance, and ongoing system expertise.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes, automation strategies, and system performance.
- Contribute to the implementation of new technologies and digital manufacturing solutions that enhance productivity, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Experience working in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ideally including Werum PAS-X, Rockwell PharmaSuite, or comparable platforms.
- Experience with Emerson DeltaV or other distributed control systems used in process manufacturing.
- Understanding of GMP regulations, computerized system validation, and qualification activities in regulated industries.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- A degree in Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience demonstrating these capabilities.
