Junior IT Support Technician - 100% m/w/d

We are looking for a motivated and service-oriented Junior IT Support Technician to join and provide day-to-day technical support to our students, faculty and teams, answering user requests and escalating when necessary.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their IT career who enjoys solving problems, helping people and working with a broad range of technologies. You will be involved in everything from user support and device management to school systems, networking and audio/visual equipment.

Working closely with the ICT Operations Manager and the wider team (4 in total), you will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills, contribute to IT projects and grow experience.
This entry-level role offers hands-on experience across a wide range of IT systems in a collaborative, supportive environment.

•What you will do:
-Provides first-line support to end users for device hardware, printers,
audio/visual, user access, software, core school applications and network issues.
-Support basic configuration and troubleshooting of the school’s network, Wi-Fi
and firewall.
-Assist with maintaining IT infrastructure including Active Directory, Microsoft 365,
Google Workspace and file systems.
-Assist with the management of school devices including inventory and
enrolment.
-Coordination with external service providers as required.
-Record and track support requests.
-Resolve incidents and service requests within the required service level
objectives.
-Provide support for school events with regards to Audio/Visual equipment.
-Onboarding and Offboarding of students and staff
-Collaborate on IT projects under the direction of the ICT Operations Manager, with opportunities to contribute to higher-level initiatives
-Ensure compliance with IT security, data protection and school IT policies.
-Other IT tasks as needed

•What makes you our ideal Candidate
-1–2 years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role
-Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and firewalls
-Familiarity with Apple devices, including iPads and Macs
-Exposure to Jamf Pro or another Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution is an advantage
-Understanding of IT infrastructure components such as Active Directory, Windows and Microsoft 365
-Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a service-oriented mindset and enjoyment of helping users resolve technical issues
-Good communication skills in English; German is an asset
-Ability to work collaboratively within a small, multicultural team
-Eagerness and motivation to learn and grow professionally
-Previous experience within a school or educational environment is an advantage
