Responsibilities
- Design and specify instrumentation and field devices for process, utility, and infrastructure systems in compliance with GMP and industry standards
- Select and define measurement technologies including pressure, temperature, flow, level, analytical instruments, and control valves
- Prepare and maintain instrumentation documentation, including data sheets, loop diagrams, instrument indexes, and calibration records
- Manage and maintain instrumentation engineering data within COMOS
- Support the integration of field devices into DCS, PLC, SIS, and process control systems
- Coordinate and oversee installation activities while ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality requirements
- Plan, execute, document, and troubleshoot loop checks, functional testing, and commissioning activities
- Support startup, qualification, and handover of new and modified systems
- Execute GMP qualification activities, including IQ/OQ documentation and testing using UBIK and Kneat
- Investigate technical issues, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions
Profile
- Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Experience in instrumentation engineering within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, or other regulated manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation design, field devices, calibration principles, and process measurement technologies
- Experience with engineering documentation and data management in COMOS
- Knowledge of process control systems and field device integration
- Experience with commissioning, loop testing, and startup support activities
- Familiarity with GMP environments and GxP documentation requirements
- Experience with qualification tools such as UBIK and Kneat is advantageous
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- English and/or German proficiency
