Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted HR partner to the CEO and the leadership team (around eight people), advising on all people topics and supporting leaders in day-to-day decisions.
  • Lead the HR team: set priorities, coach team members, monitor delivery and give the CEO regular, candid feedback.
  • Build trust quickly with employees, managers and the HR team, and create clarity on responsibilities and ways of working.
  • Handle employee relations cases with empathy and sound judgment, including complex and sensitive situations.
  • Keep performance and talent cycles on track, including reviews, probation checks and development topics.
  • Oversee HR operations and administration, which are largely handled within the team, and ensure compliance across several countries in collaboration with in-house experts and external payroll and legal providers.
  • Analyse the current HR set-up, identify risks and improvement areas, and contribute to shaping the future HR organisation.
  • Document open topics and decisions to ensure a smooth transition at the end of the assignment.
  • Report regularly to the CEO on status, risks and decisions needed.

Your profile

  • Senior HR generalist or HR business partner experience, ideally including interim assignments or HR lead roles.
  • Proven experience as a people partner to senior leadership teams.
  • Hands-on: comfortable doing the work yourself as well as leading others.
  • Analytical, empathetic and able to build trust quickly at all levels.
  • International experience
  • Experience leading teams in challenging situations, including addressing performance issues in a direct but fair way.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with experience in dynamic environments.
  • Ability to take over quickly and operate with little onboarding.
  • High discretion with confidential information.
  • Fluent German and English.
