Job Description
- Manage end-to-end accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger postings, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, management reports, and P&L reporting.
- Lead budget preparation, financial forecasting, and expenditure tracking.
- Analyse budget variances and provide financial recommendations to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with Swiss accounting requirements, VAT regulations, and statutory obligations.
- Act as a key contact for VAT-related topics, supporting international transactions and country-specific requirements where applicable.
- Coordinate audit preparation and liaise with external auditors, accountants, and advisors.
- Drive financial process improvements, internal controls, and reporting efficiencies.
- Support ERP optimisation and data quality initiatives, with a preference for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, controlling, or financial management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and P&L management.
- Proven experience creating, managing, and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
- Practical knowledge of Swiss VAT and statutory reporting requirements.
- Exposure to international VAT regulations or cross-border VAT consulting is highly desirable.
- Hands-on ERP experience, ideally with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Fluent English is required; German is considered a strong advantage.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently in an international environment.
